George, Basil

Basil George is an Islander living on the island of St Helena in the South Atlantic. As the island does not have an airport the only way to get there is by ship. Though this gives the setting for the "tree" stories for island children, the stories themselves will have an appeal to children globally. In the author hearing a child telling him "when you grow little you can play with me," the stories will also appeal to adults who can "grow little."
