Amina Gautier teaches in the Department of English at the University of Miami. She is a winner of the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction for her debut story collection At-Risk and a winner of the Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Fiction for her sophomore collection Now We Will Be Happy. Her work has appeared in numerous literary journals, including Agni, Callaloo, Glimmer Train, Iowa Review, Kenyon Review, Prairie Schooner, Southern Review, and StoryQuarterly.
