Imaginary beasts took flight in Brian's head at age four, and never flew away. His love of exotic lands and animals grew from living in Africa, Europe, and Mexico, and his studies in Papua New Guinea. Brian grew up in La Jolla, California, where Dr. Seuss lived next door to his great-aunt. As a young child, Brian was fortunate to experience the great man as a regular guest at Sunday tea. Brian has twin sons, King Will and King Carter, who are wise and benevolent (most of the time), and whose decrees become easier to interpret as they get older. Brian lives in San Francisco and Kreechurion.
