Garcia, Sharon

Sharon Garcia spent over 25 years in elementary education getting an education on what kind of literature could light up the imagination of young readers. Her first book, Benny Gets Bugged, came out of Sharon's imagination when she was dealing with her own feelings of anger. Out of frustration she stepped on a beetle and after a moment of guilt she was relieved to see the insect run out from under her foot, alive and well. Sharon was fortunate to have the illustrator, Steve Ferchaud, bring her imaginative story to life through his lively illustrations.
