Gammans, Thea

Thea Gammans grew up close to Boston, Massachussetts, and has lived in New York and Tennessee. After writing songs in Nashville, she turned to writing for a young audience. (All the lyrics in "A Song for Aura Lee" attributed to Aura Lee's mother, were actually written by Thea.) She still lives in Nashville close to several of her children and enjoys visiting, or being visited by, her scattered family.
