Gallo, Frank

Frank Gallo is a retired USAF pilot who has lived in both Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The "Ollie North" CIA airstrip that served as a base for airdrop of supplies to the Contra forces was about 50 miles from Frank's Costa Rican home. From his next home in Nicaragua, Frank found that the Sandinista-Contra conflict was very recent history, and embarked on a great deal of research, reading nearly all books available on the subject, as well as talking to Nicaraguans about the conflict.
