Gallagher, Francis J.

Gallagher was born in Ireland, and had only an eighth grade education. He left home at age 17 and spent many years in the British Merchant Navy. He studied under Pickney Benedict, Inette Miller and with Maryat Lee and Karen Offitzer. He was a second place winner in the 1987 West Virginia Writer's competition.
