Gair, Rodney

Based in Banff, Alberta, Canada, a former Firefighter and EMT, Gair has been involved in lift evacuation for over twenty-five years, and has participated in numerous rescue operations, including the rope evacuation of passenger lifts. He has also helped with the development of several techniques for evacuating steep and high spans. With a background in Major Emergency Planning and Disaster Planning Program Management for municipalities, he has transposed elements of these programs into terms useful within the context of rope-way evacuation.
