Freedman, William

Professor William Freedman, former head of Dalhousie University's Biology Department, chaired the Nature Conservancy of Canada's Board of Directors, in addition to being an active member of the Tree Canada Foundation. Awarded the Canadian Geographic Society's Gold Medal Environment Award, he is the author of several books, including "Environmental Science, "and "Ecology: a Canadian Context", in addition to being the editor of "Encyclopedia of Endangered Species".
