Frates, Dennis

Dennis Frates earned degrees in physical geography and ecology before turning his attention to photography. For over a quarter century he has produced 10,000 to 15,000 photographs a year with his medium and large format film cameras and, in the last 10 years, several digital cameras.

His work continues to be selected for national juried exhibitions. He has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Westmoreland Art Nationals Photographer of the Year and Kew Royal Botanic Gardens International Garden Photographer of the Year.
