Brigid O'Connor Cotton first discovered Puffins while visiting the coasts of Great Britain. It is her hope that this series of books will increase the interest in the puffins found in this country. Along with Patch's adventure, each book will introduce a different animal found alone the coasts and provide websites for parents to learn more about them and the challenges they face in their environment.
