Forest, Ohky Simine

Forest was born in Montreal to parents of Mohawk descent. Although she studied in traditional Western school systems, she found she could not adapt to the Western world and began her spiritual journey traveling in Europe and Aisa, living among the gypsy people and studying with Mongolian shamans. In 1984, she returned to the Mohawk people in Canada and was admitted to the spiritual traditional Long House of Kahnawake.
