Originally from New Hampshire, Sandra Fontana remembers writing and distributing rules-of-the-road bicycle manuals to neighborhood friends when she was eleven years old; and trying to write episodes of the television show "Sky King." Over the years, she kept dozens of journals containing notes with possible story ideas, but it wasn't until 1981 that she began taking her writing seriously. Her novel, FOOTSTEPS OF THE FATHER, was among the ten finalists in the Dana Award novel competition in 2008, and also was invited into the second round of the James Jones Fellowship.
