Floros, Constantin

Constantin Floros is professor emeritus of musicology at the University of Hamburg and a prolific writer on diverse subjects. Among his monographs are three volumes on the origine of Gregorian neumes (Universale Neumenkunde, 1970), as well as books on the semantic meaning of the symphony, and on, among other composers, Beethoven, Brahms, Bruckner, Mahler, Berg and Ligeti.
