Flavell, George

From the moment he left High School in 1950, aviation was his only goal. He joined the Air Force as an aircraft machinist an spent two years at Clark AFB Philippines repairing aircraft C-47's (DC-3s). At the end of his enlistment he learned the fly on the GI Bill and proceeded to fly professionally for the next thirty-five years. "The Victory of the Lightning" is his second book. His first book "Adventure of Becoming an Airline Pilot" (2006) is an autobiography.
