Karen Fingerman is the Berner Hanley University Scholar and Associate Professor of Developmental and Family Studies at Purdue University. She is also Director of Purdue's Adult Family Research Center. She has conducted research and published numerous scholarly articles on positive and negative emotions in social relationships. Dr. Fingerman is currently directing a study funded by the National Institute on Aging concerning adult sons and daughters and their parents.
