Gerald Filyaw was born in New Haven, CT. to Pastor William G. Filyaw and Evangelist Geraldine Filyaw. Gerald spent most of his childhood in church. When he was not in church he could be found on the basketball court. When Gerald was 11 years old, he began inventing and still enjoys inventing today. Gerald started drinking alcohol at the age of 19, married at 20 and by the age of 21, he found himself addicted to using cocaine for over the next 26 years of his life.
