DIANA FRANCES FERRELL lives in the agricultural desert known as the Imperial Valley. The summer heat can reach up to 120 F, and beyond the miles and miles of stretched out agricultural fields, lies the cacti spotted desert and the wispy sand dunes. The Imperial Valley touches the Mexican border and is further south than Los Angeles. Diana earned her Master's degree in English with an emphasis in Children's Literature from San Diego State University.
