Born and raised in Massachusetts, J. Scott's love of writing was hard-wired during childhood. The eldest son of a social worker and jet engine mechanic, his work reflects humble beginnings, rooted in food stamps in a particularly rough neighborhood North of Boston. He currently resides in a Florida city nestled between Fort Lauderdale and The Everglades with five girls (a wife, two daughters and two dogs).
