Travel and other cultures have been a passion all my life. My father was an airline executive and, as a family, we travelled frequently. In my late teens and early twenties, I travelled overseas at least once a year. From 1975 to 1980, I began and consolidated an advertising career, before getting married and going overseas on a "two-year honeymoon."
