Irma Fallon began her writing career in Massachusetts, where she was born and raised. Inspired by her father, who loved to write, she began to compose poetry and stories at the age of eight, won first place in a creative writing contest at fourteen, and was literary editor of two school yearbooks. Along with working as a dental hygienist and raising six boys, she returned to college at the age of fifty and graduated from Smith College with highest honors.
