Fahrig, Lenore

Lenore Fahrig is professor of biology at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Dr. Fahrig studies the effects of landscape structure on wildlife populations. She uses spatial simulation modeling to formulate predictions and tests those predictions using a wide range of organisms, including plants, insects, amphibians, mammals, and birds. Her current work on road system ecology includes empirical studies of road impacts on small mammal and amphibian populations and movements as well as generalized simulation modeling of population responses to road networks.
