After receiving his MD degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia where his parents resided, Dr. Faguet pursued postgraduate studies in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch and in Hematology/Oncology at Ohio State University, leading to an academic career at the Medical College of Georgia.
