Evers-Williams, Myrlie

Myrlie Evers-Williams is the widow of slain civil rights hero Medgar Evers and former charwoman of the NAACP. She has continued the work of her late husband throughout her life. Her involvement in the NAACP is a main reason for the group's continued relevance; her tireless efforts to bring about social change have kept the memory of her husband alive. Evers-Williams lives in Bend, Oregon.
