Evans is the founding executive director of Plowshares Institute, which is committed to education, research, and dialogue for a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world community. He studied at the Universities of Yale, Edinburgh, and Basel, and earned his doctorate from Union Theological Seminary (New York).
