Richard Evans has been covering sport since 1960. He has written best-selling biographies of Ilie Nastase and John McEnroe and an acclaimed history of the professional game called" Open Tennis." In 1990, Evans wrote a diary of Mike Gatting's rebel cricket tour of South Africa and Graham Gooch's official England tour of the West Indies, entitled" The Ultimate Test," before rejoining the newly styled ATP Tour as European Communications Director.
