Evans, Jack

Evans was born in Iowa and at age 18 enlisted in the Army. He was shipped to England arriving a month before D-Day. He was twice wounded and awarded two purple hearts, the bronze star, and the Distinguished Service Cross. Educated as a chemist after the war, he worked 30 years as a scientist in industry before retiring in 1986 to Arizona.
