Rochelle stumbled into writing in 2010, when her youngest child started all-day Kindergarten. It turned out her skills in constructing Sodor railway tracks, and cutting crusts off honey sandwiches were no longer high demand. So she found an ad in the newspaper for a Diploma in Creative Writing, signed herself up to study from home, and embarked on a year of squeezing study around parenting. In 2011, Rochelle had short stories accepted by magazines and radio.
