Carmella LyAnn Elisha-Solomon served as a communications specialist in the US Army while stationed in Baumholder, Germany, during the late 1980s and early 1990s. She has lived in many cities throughout the United States, and resided in Germany for eight years as a civilian, working as a travel agent and car insurance salesperson, and as a personnel clerk for the US government.
