El-Youssef, Samir

Samir El-Youssef is Palestinian, born in Rashidia, a Lebanese refugee camp. His first book, GAZA BLUES, was co-authored with Israeli author Etgar Keret. His writing has appeared in Guardian, New Statesman, and Washington Post. In 2005 he won PEN's Tucholsky Award for promoting peace in the Middle East. He lives in London. This is his first novel.
