Emily Mason has been teaching painting at Hunter College since 1979. She lives in New York City and West Brattleboro, Vermont. David Ebony is Associate Managing Editor of Art in America magazine. He is the author of "Carlo Maria Mariani" (Volker Huber, 2002). He lives in New York.
