I was born in Bandra, the queen of suburbs, in the most affluent part North Bombay, larger and faster than Hollywood ever was or will be. We lived among actors, doctors, engineers, airline and sea faring captains, artists, poets, writers, producers, sportsmen/ women and professionals of every caliber and industry. Mr. Dilip Kumar & Johnny Walker were my badminton teachers, while Harindranath Chatopadhya & Akthar Ul Iman, my writing mentors, Shashi Kala and many prominent leaders of society and industry were neighbours and friends.
