Duval, Pat

Pat DuVal grew up in the segregated Deep South. He struggled to find his footing, and his soul. His time in the Army helped, especially when he was stationed as an MP in the Panama Canal Zone. He later wound up on the Monterey Peninsula in California where he became the county's first black sheriff. He was also able to pursue there his first love of singing, and has become known far and wide as The Singing Sheriff.
