The authors live on a small micro homestead in New Hampshire complete with hugelbeds, micro swales, chickens, insect motel, herb garden and a micro orchard with many other designs to come. They try to incorporate as many true permaculture ideas as possible. They lecture and give tours about their rocket mass heater to anyone that cares to come by.
