Frazier Douglass was born in Birmingham, Alabama, educated at Auburn University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, worked as a clinical psychologist for ten years, & finished his career as a university professor for thirty years. Currently, he is retired and spends most of his time teaching, camping, & writing books about camping. Douglass began camping with his father when he was ten years old & has camped throughout the southeastern, midwestern, & western United States.
