Phyllis Dolislager is a writing consultant, and she also gives writing workshops. After PPS (post-polio syndrome) took her out of the classroom at Nova SE University, she started writing her own life stories. In 2001, she wrote A King-Size Bed, A Silk Tree and A Fry Pan, a personal memoir. Then her Michigan family requested a similar book about growing up on the farm in the 50's and 60's.
