Dennis D Doddridge, author/compiler of this work, served a 2 1/2 year West German mission for the LDS Church, and upon returning to the US in 1966, encountered and then decided to get to the bottom of the "Adam-God Theory." This work was originally published in 1977 and expanded in 1980, after receiving permission from the LDS Church Library to do research in the archives.
