RJ Dean Jr was born 1957 in a small town of West Virginia. He worked on a volunteer fire department where he became nationally certified under NFPA 1001. At the same time RJ worked in WV Forestry at the Bee Mountain Fire Tower. He currently lives with his wife on a thirty two acre tree farm in Jackson county where he keeps honeybees. After they were married, his wife got into working with Ed Clevenger on location for 'Into the Wilderness: The Jesse Hughes Story.'
