De Bruyckere, Berlinde

Berlinde de Bruyckere (born Ghent,1964) won international acclaim at the 2003 Venice Biennale, when her sculptures were shown in the Italian Pavilion. Since then, her solo exhibitions have included Hauser & Wirth Zurich (2004); De Pont Foundation for Contemporary Art, Tilburg (2005) and 'One' at La Maison Rouge, Fondation Antoine de Galbert, Paris (2005). This year, her work was included in the 4th Berlin Biennial for Contemporary Art and was exhibited in a two-artist show at the Kunsthalle D sseldorf. Berlinde de Bruyckere lives and works in Ghent.
