Armando de Armas was born in Santa Clara, Cuba in 1985. He has a degree in Philology from the Central University of the Villas. During the 1990's he integrated a human rights movement and an independent cultural movement within the island. He is the Vice President of the Pen Club for Exiled Cuban Writers. He if the author the novel 'The Table' (Madrid 2008) the essay 'Myths of the Anti-Exile', (Miami 2007)and also translated into English and Italian by Spirali, as with two related collections; 'Mala Jugada' (Bad Play) and 'Carga de la Caballeria' (The Cavalry Charge) (Miami 2006).
