Davison, Peter

Davison was born in New York City, son of the English poet Edward Davison. He served as a page in the U.S. Senate and subsequently attended Harvard University and Cambridge University. He became an editor at Harcourt, Brace at the age of twenty-two, moving to Boston in 1955 to work at Harvard University Press and then at Atlantic Monthly Press, eventually becoming Editor-in-Chief and director.
