Author Marilyn Davis is a life-long horse owner who uses her writing to convey a sense of urgency about the ethical treatment of animals. A portion of her proceeds has generated significant funding for area animal shelters and Connecticut's endangered Second Chance Corral animal rehabilitation program. "A pony that I rescued inspired me to write Maddie & Beanie's Magical Journey," she says.
