Davidson, Greg

Greg Davidson was born in 1950, of Italian heritage (Bruni) on his mother's side and an unknown lineage (Mann) on his Tasmanian father's side. Greg's formative years were spent on a farm at Ballarat (the location of vast gold mining strikes in the 1800's); this lifestyle became the foundation for his fertile imagination before moving to the seaside suburb of Mordialloc. Formal schooling was completed at Aspendale Technical College, and then Greg commenced working life at a Melbourne art studio as a trainee commercial artist.
