E. J. R. David, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage in the Joint Ph.D. Program in Clinical-Community Psychology that has a Cultural and Indigenous Psychology emphasis. He is also Director of the Alaska Native Community Advancement in Psychology Program. His research on the psychological effects of internalized oppression as experienced by different ethnic and cultural groups started while he was in graduate school, and led the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 45 to give him the Distinguished Doctoral Student Research Award.
