Gerald Darring taught fill-time for 19 years at McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, Alabama, and part-time for over twenty years at Spring Hill College in Mobile. He has a Masters degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and has studied at the University of Notre Dame and Yad Vashem. He is on the boards of the Gulf Coast Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education, the Alabama Gulf Coast Holocaust Library, and the Mobile Christian-Jewish Dialogue.
