The author, Roderick d'Entrac, is a British journalist. A deputy chief editor of a leading global news organisation, he has worked as a political, war and economics correspondent. He has also written a book exposing Nazi finances which exposed him to explicit threats. He is foreign editor of a "think tank" on governance and has contributed to two books on contemporary policymaking in France. He spent about 10 years doing research for, and writing, his novel Paris Night, using the pseudonym Roderick d'Entrac in view of the sensitivity of the story lines.
