Dorothy Cox, author and illustrator Finley, a small town in Washington State, is where Dorothy's childhood began and her artistic talents first budded. She drew horses and people in the second grade of a small school house near Kennewick. Her artistic talents grew throughout her life. She would go one to illustrate a calendar for Green Giant, one of the region's largest employers.
