Kimberly Rochelle Lock was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, being the only child of her mother and dad. After graduating from high school at the age of 16, the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee welcomed Kim as a student to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems. After taking a year off, she completed her Master's Degree in Telecommunications at Keller Graduate School of Management. In 2002, she married the love of her life Pastor Marlon Lock.
