Kevin Dean began his life of world travel at the age of five, when he shipped aboard one of the last American liners steaming from San Francisco to his family's new home in Hawai'i. He later served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant and continued to wander the globe. In addition to sailing to both the Middle and Far East, Kevin explored Europe numerous times independently, always keeping a journal to chronicle his unpredictable adventures.
