Conyers, Jr. James

James L. Conyers, Jr. is university professor, director of the African American studies program, and director of the Center for the Study of African American Culture at the University of Houston. He also serves as editor for Transaction's Africana Studies series. He is the editor of numerous works, including Engines of the Black Power Movement.
